Chapter 400 - 238: Frost Ghost Stone, Shadow Realm_2
Chapter 400 - 238: Frost Ghost Stone, Shadow Realm_2
The strength of the Giant Dragon clan is renowned throughout the entire multiverse.
Even Level 3 Wizards wouldn’t dare dream of raising dragons on a large scale.
The Wizard who established the Dragon Forest did so because they themselves were True Spirit Descendants, with connections and resources to support the endeavor.
Sunan’s wish to recreate the glory of the Dragon Forest as a Level 2 Wizard is somewhat naive.
Another reason Lize disapproves is the difficulty in increasing the blood concentration of Sub-dragon Species.
Enhancing the blood concentration of a single Sub-dragon Species to evolve into a Giant Dragon might be achievable with effort.
But to elevate the blood concentration of an entire Sub-dragon clan, the difficulty increases by tenfold or more.
If it were easily achievable, large Wizard Influences would have long raised a group of dragons.
The dragon group in the Dragon Forest was originally captured and bred from outside, not cultivated internally.
However, Lize’s thought was quickly overturned.
She was soon astonished to discover that the blood concentration of the Sub-dragon clan in District 2 was increasing at an extraordinary rate. After careful inquiry, she learned that the Star Alliance was using Dragon Blood to enhance the blood concentration of the Sub-dragon clan!
This can’t merely be described as luxurious!
The key issue is that there’s not a single Giant Dragon left on Starlight Continent, and the remaining Dragon Blood mostly comes from Wizard legacies from a thousand years ago, with very limited quantities. How on earth did Sunan acquire so much Dragon Blood?
Lize was utterly baffled.
Yet upon learning of this, her perspective on the Sub-dragon blood enhancement plan changed.
Perhaps this plan does have a chance of succeeding.
Attila’s words at this moment undeniably verified this notion.
In just under four hundred years, individuals on the verge of evolution have already appeared among the Sub-dragon clan. In another two or three hundred years, a group of dragons might really be cultivated.
After pondering momentarily, Lize said, "Isolate the Demon Tyrant Dragon from the group temporarily, place it in a secluded location, and allocate 100 standard units of Dragon Blood from the warehouse to remodel and strengthen it, accelerating its evolution."
After pausing, she added, "The remodeling experiment will be overseen by Wizards and published as a task."
"Understood," Attila immediately noted this down.
Then, as if recalling something, she frowned and asked, "Master, should the Demon Tyrant Dragon evolve into a Giant Dragon, won’t it become difficult to control?"
Lize, hearing this, also showed a contemplative expression.
Unlike the Sub-dragon clan, dragons are innately proud deep within their bones. They’re hard to tame and resist being domesticated.
Once evolved into a Giant Dragon, indeed, the Demon Tyrant Dragon is highly likely to resist Dragon Forest’s training, thus rebelling.
Though the Star Alliance possesses enough strength to suppress such rebellion, this approach merely addresses the symptom, not the root cause, deviating from the original plan objective.
The Star Alliance desires a group of dragons that can follow orders.
Lize does have several methods to control Exotic Beasts, but these likely won’t affect dragons.
Could it be that the original Dragon Forest founder had solved this problem in some way?
"Let’s put this issue aside for now," Lize decided after some thought, "I’ll discuss it with Sunan once he’s out of retreat."
"Is Teacher going to break through again?" Attila showed surprise.
To their knowledge, Teacher only goes into seclusion when nearing a breakthrough or conducting long-term experiments.
"Yes." Lize sighed.
No matter how many times she’d witnessed it, Sunan’s terrifying speed of power advancement was still inexplicable to her.
Though he had only just ascended to Level 2 Wizard two hundred years prior, he was already nearing another breakthrough.
For her, the transition from Tier Two gas to Level 2 Liquefaction took a daunting fifteen hundred years, which was already considered quite impressive.
Whereas Sunan seemed primed to break through to Level 2 Liquefaction in at most three hundred years.
Under the harsh conditions of Starlight Continent, achieving such a rapid breakthrough could only be described as miraculous.
...
Emerging from the study, Attila reunited with the Secret Puppet carrying the tome and teleported directly to the storage area.
The vessel she used for soul fusion, like Lord Xingyun’s, was a tome.
It was crafted by her Teacher, recording all Magic from zero to Tier Two for convenient use.
Upon reaching the storage area, Attila began inventorying materials for high-level puppet creation, preparing to draft a plan to submit to Lord Xingyun later.
In her Ghost form, unable to train, she had ample time for this work.
Once done with the inventory, Attila encountered Tajana.
"Jana, such a coincidence."
"Not really a coincidence. I came here specifically to find you."
The Dark Elf girl’s face showed a faint smile, her silver eyes gleaming like gemstones.
Now Tajana had already ascended to Wizard status, becoming the only non-human Alien Race Wizard in the Star Alliance.
Thanks to this, her fame within the Star Alliance surpassed that of many Wizards.
"Here’s a Frost Ghost Stone I stumbled upon. I remember you mentioning its usefulness to you, so I thought I’d give it to you."
Tajana handed over an egg-sized pale gray stone.
"The Frost Ghost Stone!" Attila exclaimed.
She’d read about it in books, originating from the Frost Ghost River in the Shadow Realm, a highly valuable Negative Energy material.
More importantly, it was crucial for reshaping the body!
"Jana, where did you find this Frost Ghost Stone?" Attila asked eagerly.
Not wanting to keep Attila in suspense, Tajana responded truthfully:
"I found it in a cave near Bank City in the underground world. Later, I consulted Teacher Rose and learned it was Frost Ghost Stone."
Attila recalled that Bank City seemed to be on the southeastern border, not far from Magic Spider City.
"Thank you for the information, Jana; you’ve helped me tremendously."
Regaining her composure, Attila smiled, giving Tajana a gentle hug.
"Glad I could help." Tajana smiled while returning her friend’s embrace.
After the sacrificial incident, the Dark Elf tribe was mostly decimated, severing her ties with the kindred.
Though she had enrolled in Starlight Academy afterward, her Alien Race identity made it difficult to truly integrate into the circles around her.
Within the entire Star Alliance, the only true friend she had was Attila.
Because of this, she treasured her friendship with Attila greatly.
After parting from Tajana, Attila quickly returned to the study to inform Lize of the matter.
"Frost Ghost Stone?"
Upon hearing Attila’s report, Lize’s expression turned serious.
Regarding body reshaping, she was equally concerned.
After pondering, Lize swiftly made a decision.
"Dispatch people to search around Bank City, especially investigating the cave where the Frost Ghost Stone was found. Report any findings to me immediately."
Once Attila departed with the task, Lize focused on the Frost Ghost Stone on the table, becoming lost in thought.
Could it have leaked from some Wizard legacy, or did it originate from the Shadow Realm?
If it was the former, Tajana’s discovery of the Frost Ghost Stone was mere coincidence.
But if it was the latter, the implications would be different.
Even though the Starlight Continent is currently in lockdown, and the Shadow Realm isn’t the uniquely characterized world like the Elemental Plane, it supposedly can’t be linked to the Starlight Continent.
Yet, uncertainties remain, and if this batch of Frost Ghost Stone indeed originates from the Shadow Realm, it implies some presence has brought it forth from there.
If that turns out to be true, it signals that another being has preemptively invaded the Starlight Continent.
This undeniably requires serious attention.
"If the Shadow Realm is indeed connected, perhaps this opportunity can be used to gather materials ahead of time."
Lize’s gaze flickered slightly.
One-third of the materials to reshape the body constitute Negative Energy materials.
It’s widely known that the Shadow Realm holds the most abundant Negative Energy resources, with many Negative Energy materials found there.
But whether this is the case still needs verification after investigation.
