Slowly Falling into His Love Trap

Chapter 423: Is He Really That Much of a Beast?

Chapter 423: Is He Really That Much of a Beast?

The doctor glanced weakly at Evelyn, shut his mouth tightly, and indeed didn’t say another word. He quietly applied some medicine for external injuries, then instructed the assistant to deliver some anti-inflammatory oral medication. The more private areas could only heal slowly by themselves.

"How... many days until it heals?" Evelyn asked softly.

"I estimate about a week or so." The doctor replied respectfully, "Please note, during this time, you must avoid... that kind of contact."

The doctor’s voice was very small, as if afraid of angering Caden Lockwood who was eavesdropping at the door.

"A week!" Evelyn said, frowning in dismay.

Even one hour felt too long for her.

That damned Caden Lockwood, he truly is a beast!

"You need to take the medicine on time and try to avoid water as much as possible," the doctor instructed. "I’ll come every day to put on medication for you and observe the healing progress. It will be quite painful now, but in about a day or two, it might start itching. Don’t scratch it. I’ll prescribe some good medicine to minimize your discomfort."

Evelyn pouted.

This was all Caden Lockwood’s fault!

If it weren’t for him, how would she be suffering like this?

The doctor didn’t stay long; he instructed Aunt May on some dietary precautions and then left.

Lying on the bed, Evelyn felt a bit more comfortable after the medication was applied.

However, thinking about the ticking time bomb named Caden Lockwood still outside the bedroom, she felt very angry.

"Aunt May." Evelyn choked out, "Don’t let him in, make sure the door is closed tightly, I don’t want to see him."

"Young Madam, the Young Master already knows he was wrong," Aunt May comforted softly, "Why don’t you talk it over with him? He’s so proud, but only indulgent towards you!"

Hearing Aunt May’s words, Evelyn’s lips curled awkwardly.

Indulgent?

The way Caden Lockwood treated her, could that still be considered indulgence?

"I don’t care!" Evelyn said coldly, "In any case, I don’t want to see him!"

Aunt May sighed, seeing how insistent Evelyn was, she had no choice but to leave the bedroom.

Looking at the anxious Caden waiting, Aunt May shook her head in resignation.

From Aunt May’s expression, Caden knew that Evelyn didn’t want to see him.

It was his own mistake, he had hurt her, it was normal for her not to want to deal with him.

"Did the medication help, is she feeling better?" Caden asked, "It’s a hard spot to apply medicine."

As he spoke, Caden clenched his hands into fists, his face full of remorse.

"Young Madam still needs some time to cool down," Aunt May said softly, "The physical wounds are not that bad, it’s the emotional scars that might be more painful!"

Caden said nothing.

They hadn’t seen each other in so long, he originally planned to have a good talk with her, but didn’t expect it to turn out like this.

Aunt May leaned closer to Caden, "Only the right remedy can heal the heart. If you care for Young Madam, find a way to soothe her inner wounds!"

"Got it," Caden answered, "You should go rest now!"

Aunt May walked to the bedroom door, suddenly remembered something, and quickly added, "The doctor said, during this time, the Young Master and Young Madam must avoid that kind of contact, otherwise..."

Without finishing her sentence, Aunt May walked into the bedroom, leaving behind a long sigh.

Caden’s face turned as dark as if it had been dyed with ink.

Was he really such a beast?

Knowing Evelyn was already hurt, would he still make demands?

Was his image in their hearts really that awful?
