Chapter 650: Pamela Primroe
Chapter 650: Pamela Primroe
“Well, I already told you about Emma,” Lorelie replied before adding, “She’s obviously attracted to you and I know for a fact she herself isn't against joining, plus we did steal her away from Earth.”
“It sounds like Emma and Erkath are a pair deal; if one joins, I have to accept the other as well,” Adam said with a sigh.
“No one's forcing you to accept anyone,” Rowena replied before adding, “At the end of the day, this is your harem, all we’re doing is recommending people we think are suitable since you probably know nothing about them.”
“As long as you start informing me and stop hiding them from me,” Adam replied before asking, “What did you plan to do when we got to Fenix Nest, have Kasumi and Erkath suddenly join us in bed?”
“Wouldn’t you like such a nice surprise?” Rowena teased.
“No comment,” Adam replied before turning back to Lorelie and indicating for her to continue.
“After our conversation, I think Elemence would be a good fit,” Lorelie replied.
“Nope, I know nothing about her,” Adam flatly refused before adding, “Heck, I’m not even sure we have said more than ten words to each other and you want me to enter a relationship with her?”
“Yeah, I kinda figured you would say no,” Lorelie said with a sheepish smile as she remembered Liluth’s comment on Adam refusing Elemence.
“So why not spend some time getting to know her?” Stacey suggested.
“When?” Adam asked before continuing, “We’re already planning to leave for Fenix Nest in a few days. Do you want me to suspend our trip to the beach just to get to know Elemence?”
“She is Revi’s best friend,” Rowena noted.
“Then why not bring her along with us to Aqua Primus?” Lorelie suggested. “She told me before that she was jealous of Revi being able to go to the beach for her vacation and that she was planning to go to Ligeia. I believe Revi is planning to ask you about letting Elemence accompany us in the coming days.”
“Ligeia?” Adam asked.
“It’s the home planet of the Sirinian race in the Leucosia Galaxy,” Rowena answered.
“Sirinian race?” Adam asked before adding, “You mean the race that Pherise, who hates Lorelie, is from?”
“Yup,” Rowena nodded.
“Why go there?” Adam asked curiously.
“If memory serves, Ligeia is the closest ocean world to Fenix Nest that offers a decent vacation resort,” Rowena remarked.
Adam sighed before saying, “If Revi asks, then she can accompany us, but only because she is Revi’s best friend.”
“Understood,” Lorelie replied as the three women shared a quick look.
“Anyone else?” Adam asked.
“There is one more,” Lorelie said nervously.
“Who?” Adam asked suspiciously as he saw how Lorelie was acting.
“Muriel,” Lorelie said in such a low voice that Adam couldn’t pick it up, even with his enhanced hearing.
“Who?” Adam repeated as Rowena and Stacey smirked at each other, as they both had an idea why Lorelie was acting like this.
“Muriel!” Lorelie declared in a much louder voice.
“The Water Sphere star you're a huge fan of?” Adam asked before adding, “You want to invite your favourite player into our relationship?”
“Is that so wrong?” Lorelie asked meekly.
“I wouldn’t say it’s bad, I guess even celebrities dream about having fun with their idols,” Adam replied.
“It’s not like that, I don’t just want her to join to have fun with her,” Lorelie said in alarm as she was worried that Adam might think she was cheating on him.
“Calm down, it’s alright,” Adam said calmly as he stroked her turquoise hair before adding, “I’m not going to be upset over you being attracted to Muriel. As I said, we all have celebrities we’re attracted to; for me, it was a young Pamela Primroe.”
“I don’t fancy her,” Lorelie retorted defensively.
“Who?” Stacey asked.
“Was?” Rowena asked.
“Oh, really?” Adam asked with a smirk before adding in a teasing tone, “So you wouldn’t want to have fun with Muriel if she joined the harem?”
“Well, I mean, if she was up for it,” Lorelie admitted with a small blush.
“Uh-huh,” Adam replied with a smirk.
“Err, babe, who is this Pamela Primroe?” Stacey asked again.
“And what do you mean it was her?” Rowena added.
“Pamela Primroe was a famous actress during the nineteen fifties and sixties. She was known for her beauty,” Adam explained before continuing. “She was only thirty-six when she died.”
“Oh, so that's what you mean by was,” Rowena said in understanding.
“Nineteen fifties and sixties?” Lorelie asked in surprise before asking, “That was over sixty years ago, if we go by Earth standards, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah,” Adam replied before explaining. “As you know, I was an orphan and grew up in an orphanage. Because of its lack of funding, it couldn’t afford all the latest movies as soon as they came out.
Because of that, we only had old ones, which had been donated, that we could watch. A whole bunch of them were Pamela Primroe movies, which, apparently, some family donated after their elderly relative passed away.”
“Was she your first crush?” Stacey teased.
“Yup,” Adam replied without shame.
“Boo, you could at least act a little embarrassed,” Stacey complained.
“Why? There’s nothing to be embarrassed about there,” Adam replied before turning back to Lorelie and saying, “As with Elemence, I know nothing about Muriel other than what you have told me or what she has said in my chat.
I’m happy to get to know her, but I’m not promising anything.”
“Fair enough,” Lorelie replied with a smile.
“Why do I get the feeling I’m forgetting something?” Adam suddenly asked.
“Like what?” Stacey enquired.
“No idea, but if it’s that important, I’m sure it will come to me,” Adam replied before asking, “So is there anyone else?”
“Only Revi, Tephe and Andromeda, but you already know about them,” Lorelie replied.
“Hmm,” Adam replied.
“Still concerned about letting Tephe join?” Rowena asked.
“Is it really appropriate for me to accept her feelings when I still see her as a younger sister?” Adam asked with a sigh.
“You do remember that she's like twenty-six times your age, right?” Stacey asked with a smirk.
“You know what I mean, I’m talking about her mentality, she just seems so innocent,” Adam replied.
“That's only from your perspective. We know her as a spoilt troublemaker who always had to have things go her way,” Rowena replied before adding, “Honestly, I was shocked when I first saw her sudden change in personality and I honestly prefer this Tephe over the one we know.”
“She still shows aspects of that personality, though,” Stacey replied before adding, “What she did to the bastard who attacked Lorelie, for example.”
“True,” Rowena replied.
“Yeah, I never thought Tephe would be capable of something like that,” Adam remarked.
“What did she do?” Lorelie asked quizzically.
“She used her claw to repeatedly puncture his phoenix body so that he slowly bled out,” Rowena replied before continuing. “She could have easily ended his suffering anytime she wanted; however, she purposefully prolonged his suffering as revenge for what he did to you.”
“I was honestly shocked that he survived for over five hours with the amount of blood that was escaping his body,” Adam stated.
“It’s because he was a phoenix and their survivability is one of the strongest in the universe,” Rowena began to explain. “It’s connected with their ability to be reborn after they die. So long as their heart isn’t removed, or they suffer an attack that can kill them in one hit, they can regenerate almost any part of their body, given enough time.
I could tell that Tephe was purposefully stabbing him with her claw in places away from areas she had already stabbed in order to prolong his suffering.”
“What happened after he finally died? Was he reborn as an egg?” Lorelie asked.
“He was, but he didn’t last long,” Stacey replied before adding, “As soon as his rebirth flames died away, leaving his egg lying in the ashes, Tephe crushed it under her paw.”
“She killed an unborn phoenix?” Lorelie asked in shock before adding, “I can’t imagine Revi and Elemence were too happy about that.”
“Agreed, however, they haven’t said anything, so I’m not certain what their opinion on the matter is,” Rowena replied.
“Regardless, do you really think Tephe could crush an unborn phoenix egg if she were as innocent as you seem to believe she is?” Stacey asked.
“Only if it was an accident and this was no accident,” Adam replied.
“Exactly, so get over this stupid notion of yours and accept her as your woman already,” Stacey said while crossing her arms.
“Let's put the matter of Tephe joining on hold for a while as there are still some other things I need to discuss with you all,” Lorelie suggested.
“Such as?” Rowena asked curiously.
“Putting an end to Adam having to sleep on the sofa,” Lorelie replied, surprising Stacey and Rowena.
