Chapter 337: Dominik’s Offer [2], To The Time Tower
Chapter 337: Dominik’s Offer [2], To The Time Tower
To Dominik, a player receiving two blessings was extremely rare since they needed to properly "handle" that much power without being overcharged and destroyed from the inside.
Someone like Celestial seemed to be the perfect candidate for such an arrangement, as he would make an overwhelmingly powerful servant for when "IT" finally happened in the future.
"Seems too good to be true honestly, but if it really is real... then I will definitely try to do it," Leon replied with a fake smile, "Making a contract with a god seems a little weird to me, I have to admit."
"As I said, all of our students do them, and nothing bad ever happens to anyone, it is one hundred percent safe, I appreciate you for listening to my proposal."
Just like that, Dominik guided Leon and Celeste out of the office with a friendly wave, and as soon as they stepped out into the hallway, they saw two teachers standing nearby.
"O-Oh," a teacher who was standing to the side turned his gaze toward them with nervous eyes, "I-I guess he told you about the gods and their blessings then..."
"Yes, he did," Leon replied calmly, keeping his expression neutral.
"You should seriously consider it, kid, look at this," a second teacher right beside the first one flexed his massive muscles proudly, "The [God of War] gives you the strength of an entire army all by yourself, it is incredible!"
"Sure, I’ll think about it," Leon said dismissively.
Leon and Celeste proceeded forward down the hallway, but before they turned around the corner and left the teachers’ line of sight, Leon had an idea.
"Use [Eye of Fury] on them right now and show me their full panels," Leon asked Celeste quietly so only she could hear.
[Eye of Fury] was a rare skill that Celeste had, and that she had used before in the past, and it was basically a much better version of the standard [Appraisal] skill that most players had access to.
Because unlike the latter, eye of fury could not actually be detected by anyone no matter what, making it perfect for situations like this where Leon needed information without alerting the enemy.
Leon would love to have something like that for himself, but to do that he needed to evolve his own [Appraisal] skill to its absolute max level, which was not actually that far away in terms of progression.
’I need 65 Skill Stones to evolve it fully and I only have 30 right now, so I still have some grinding to do, oh well,’ Leon thought to himself.
Celeste did as Leon asked without hesitation, her eyes glowing faintly as she inspected the teachers’ panels, and indeed, neither of the two teachers noticed her using the skill on them at all.
And right afterward, she sent over the two panels to Leon so he could read them himself.

’I now know four of the teachers by name and face,’ Leon noted to himself.
Alikar, Domi, Leoric, that one elf teacher he saw outside, and then there was a fifth one which he did not know about yet, but he would find out eventually.
As soon as they turned the corner of the hallway and were out of sight, Leon immediately grabbed onto Celeste’s arm and used the [World Map] to teleport them both back to the city’s entrance.
"Why was he trying to promote the gods to us like that?" Celeste asked as the two headed back toward the square to find Emilia, "I did not even know what that whole thing was about, it came out of nowhere..."
"Trickery and manipulation, plain and simple," Leon replied with a cold expression on his face, "Make sure to never fall for such things no matter what, the gods are not your friends, they never will be."
"I..." Celeste looked at Leon’s expression at that moment, and it was one of the few times where he seemed utterly ruthless and serious, "Alright."
They headed back to the academy square and found Emilia again sitting on a bench.
She immediately stood up and joined them as they walked.
Celeste explained everything that had happened inside the chairman’s office to the elf girl, and Emilia simply scratched her chin thoughtfully as she listened.
"The [God of Magic] huh, that sounds interesting," Emilia said, "It would probably make me much stronger than I am now... but something about it just feels like a trap to me."
"It is, and far too many people fall for it under the false promise of easy power," Leon sighed heavily, "But its fine, we know better."
Nobody was truly "immune" to the influence of the gods, and that influence only got stronger and harder to resist as you proceeded forward.
Once everything was done and they were all back together, Leon spoke up with determination.
"Alright, its finally time to get out of this city and head to our real destination."
Leon opened his [World Map] and clicked on the furthest part he had reached in the [Vine Plains] from their previous journey.
Fwoosh!
The three of them appeared at the very edge of the [Vine Plains] in an instant, close to where Leon and Celeste had fought the [Will of Nature] boss not too long ago.
But now, he would go even deeper into the unknown, finally reaching the next checkpoint of [Higher Domain #1] and whatever awaited them there.
Before doing that though, Leon opened his storage space and took out the [Time Tower Compass] from it to check its direction.
As soon as he did that, a small glowing arrow appeared on the face of the compass, clearly indicating where the [Time Tower] was located relative to his current position.
"Perfect," Leon grinned with satisfaction.
He opened his [World Map] again to check the exact direction the compass was pointing toward, but as soon as he did that, something unexpected happened.
Fwoosh!
[Your "World Map" is merging with the "Time Tower Compass"]
"Huh?" Leon said, confused by the unexpected notification.
The compass in his hand turned into glowing particles that flew directly into the world map panel, and immediately afterward, a new icon appeared in the distance on the map itself.
"Holy shit," Leon said with wide eyes.
The icon of a small tower appeared fairly far away from where he was currently standing, with the clear title "Time Tower" displayed right above it on the map.
Now Leon actually knew exactly where the tower was located and even the precise distance to reach it, and though it was far, that did not matter at all.
"Perfect," he grinned widely, "Now... its finally time to hatch that goddamn dragon after waiting for so long."
...
A/N
We are finally going to hatch that dragon, I feel like having it sit in Leon’s storage space for almost 250 Chapters was too much but here we are.
