Chapter 146 Living Underworld Performance

Chapter 146 Living Underworld Performance

What does it feel like after a person dies?

Tomie didn't know; she only remembered the feeling of being on the verge of death in the sea that time.

It was very cold, a cold that cut to the bone.

It felt empty, like my mind and body were completely empty.

It was very quiet. She was the only one left in the entire space. The quietness made her feel uneasy, and she even felt a rare sense of helplessness.

In the vast ocean, that feeling is stretched out infinitely.

Their bodies were torn apart by the imposters; they squeezed and fought each other, their scarlet blood staining the sea red.

Tomie suddenly felt very tired. "Give up. If I give up, I won't feel anything anymore. Give up. Giving up will be so easy."

Her heartstrings gradually calmed, smoothed out, and became extremely tight—

A face popped up and filled the entire image in my mind.

She is not reconciled!

The imposter who killed her is still laughing; how can she leave now?

My body, soaked in seawater, felt a strange power surge within me; my breath returned.

Tomie suddenly opened her eyes.

She saw the face that brought her the most peace of mind.

Jiuzhi Che breathed a sigh of relief. "You're awake. Just now, it seemed like your body had a self-healing ability. How are you feeling?"

Tomie's mind was perfectly clear now, and she shook her head.

"Much better."

"It's good that you're alright."

Jiuzhi Che used two healing balls on Tomie. Although they didn't have much effect on internal repair, it would be best if Tomie woke up.

The first generation of Tomie seems to have acquired some amazing abilities.

"Have you met a man who keeps apologizing?"

Tomie's gaze turned cold. "That's right."

Sure enough, Jiuzhiche had a guess when he saw the brain matter.

"He's colluding with the devil. We can't listen to his apology, or his brains will dissolve. The best way is to kill him as soon as possible, but the devil might come out to stop us."

"As long as he's alive, he'll die by my hand."

Having suffered such a great loss, Tomie couldn't possibly let it go unpunished.

A light kiss landed on her forehead, so light it seemed to barely touch her, yet it was imprinted on her heart, making her heart skip a beat.

Jiu Zhiche slowly stroked the top of her head with his fingers: "I will kill him."

Tomie looked up and her gaze unexpectedly met his eyes.

He looked earnestly into her eyes and said, "He can't bully you."

He paused, then said, "Only I can."

The rare surge of emotion abruptly vanished, and Tomie rolled her eyes: "You're no good either. I'd rather bully you!"

"Um."

He did agree.

A subtle tingling sensation spread along her spine, and Tomie exhaled a small, trembling breath.

Calling him a prodigy is, in some ways, not wrong.

Welcome to the Babirus Grand Circus!

"Next, let's start with a three-headed juggling act to warm up the crowd!"

The uncle-like leader, holding the microphone, spoke with great passion, accompanied by the suddenly playing upbeat music, which ignited the emotions of the audience.

A clown-like figure appeared with a colorful, fluffy wig, exaggerated white makeup, wide red lips, and eyebrows raised to his temples.

He was holding three stacked human heads in his hands.

A gasp of surprise rippled through the crowd.

"It's a prop, isn't it? It looks so realistic."

"I've seen people juggle balls, but I've never seen anyone throw a ball at someone's head."

"Interesting, I haven't seen this before."

When Jiu Zhiche came in, he saw a large iron cage.

There was a magnificent lion in the cage, constantly licking its own fur.

Jiuzhiche glanced at the high heels beside him, then took two more steps forward.

Behind the cage, there was a rather inconspicuous sign, mostly obscured by the lion's massive body.

He moved the sign next to the cage and memorized the words on it.

Jiuzhiche raised his foot.

"Clang!"

The lion was taken aback. Had that human just kicked the cage?

Immediately following, the provoked lion's anger flared up, and it pounced on the edge of the cage, extending its claws through the gaps.

"roar!"

The roar was deep and filled with oppressive power.

Wild animals have a natural sense of oppression when they encounter humans.

Jiuzhiche made a throwing motion.

"Click!"

The lion felt its throat blocked and flailed its paws wildly in extreme discomfort, its body trembling and leaping erratically as it desperately tried to spit out what was stuck in its throat.

I didn't vomit it out.

Jiuzhiche arrived a little late.

There are already people performing on stage.

It was a clown, swinging three heads around with agile and precise movements.

Based on Jiuzhiche's experience, those were three real heads.

His hair was shaved off, making his skin look smooth and white, probably from being soaked in some kind of medicinal solution.

Eyes wide open, dying with unseeing eyes – this is the epitome of death.

Jiu Zhiche's eyes quickly swept across the entire venue, leaving no shadow or corner unchecked.

The air is thick with resentment; I haven't seen that in a long time.

It was as if they were in a giant boiler, surrounded by resentful smoke.

The ball-throwing spectacle on the field was coming to an end.

The clown threw heads into the air one by one, finally stacking them on his nose to form a "1" shape.

The troupe leader's passionate voice resounded: "Ladies and gentlemen! This is just a small appetizer; the performance to come is even more spectacular!"

"Ooooooo!!!"

Some people responded enthusiastically, cheering and applauding.

"Next up is the human body dismemberment magic trick!"

Two staff members dressed as clowns pushed a rectangular box up.

The magician, wearing a black top hat, bowed to the audience. His female assistant, dressed in a sexy bunny girl outfit, performed a suggestive dance to show off her figure before lying down inside the box.

Only the head and feet are visible.

The magician held a metal plate in his hand and plunged it hard into the gap left in the box.

"ah----!"

The female assistant suddenly let out a rapid, painful scream, her mouth twisted in pain, and she struggled inside the box as if she had been electrocuted.

The entire room fell silent.

The magician casually wiped the blood off his face. "It's all for the show, don't worry about it."

As he spoke, he inserted the second steel plate—into his neck.

The third steel plate—the knee.

Then he revealed a mysterious smile, as if the outcome was about to be announced, and pulled open the divided box—

The audience fell into a deathly silence.

The cross-section of the box was not a steel plate at all, but rather a mass of red flesh and blood.

Even a section of wrinkled intestine slipped to the ground...

The entire stadium erupted in deafening screams...

Jiuzhiche saw countless incomprehensible things float out from the audience and dissipate into the air.

The regimental commander still had a smile on his face.

An embarrassed smile flashed across the magician's face. "Oops, that was a mistake."

Troupe leader: "Next act!"

Soon, two clowns came over to clean up the scene.

Jiuzhiche observed silently.

Almost all the audience members were panicked and horrified, but no one stood up and left, and no one even thought of calling the police.

"Wow, that's so exciting!"

"I felt an incredible, ecstasy!"

"Hahaha, a real man sees it live!"

"I'm actually kind of looking forward to watching the next episode."

"Dude, me too."

The fear they felt only briefly passed through them before being suppressed by something.

Jiuzhiche noticed one exception.

She was taking out her phone to make a call.

Not far away, a person crawling like a dog was being led by a man with slanted eyes towards her.
